Maori

This week is Maori language week and I found out that a Waiata is a song  

Every year since 1975 New Zealand has marked Māori Language Week - Te ... This is a time to celebrate te reo Māori (the Māori language) and to use more ... Te reo Māori is undergoing a resurgence and more people speak the language.we even got to sing and peforme the Waiata in front of LH2 it was alot of fun .

I would love to know some of the Maori words you learned- what's your favourite animal? colour? It sure sounds like you had some fun! **remember to aim for 6-10 sentences in each post:)
